Ivonne Albarus

Ivonne Albarus is a climate scientist, currently serving as Senior Science Officer for the IPCC Working Group I Technical Support Unit (WG1 TSU), with a special focus on the Special Report on Climate Change and Cities. Ivonne completed her Ph.D. at France’s renowned Laboratory of Climate and Environmental Sciences (LSCE), where her research explored the intersection of urban climate policy and atmospheric CO2 monitoring. Prior to her career in climate science, Ivonne worked as a financial analyst at the Paris Stock Exchange, advising brokers on investment strategies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Germany and a Master’s degree in Green Economy from the UK, giving her a diverse perspective on addressing the complexities of climate change in urban environments.
