IPCC
Okem Andrew Emmanuel is the Head of Science of the IPCC Working Group II Technical Support Unit (Netherlands). He has the shared responsibility for developing the scientific structure of activities and products of the Working II Seventh Assessment Cycle. Previously, Andrew served as a Science Officer under the IPCC Working Group during the Sixth Assessment Cycle.
Prior to his current role, Andrew worked as a climate adaptation and governance specialist with the International Water Management Institute, where he contributed to projects on the governance of climate action, understanding of social transformation and resilience building and issues of fragility, conflict and migration in a changing climate. Andrew holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Policy and Development Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
