IPCC at the 29th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC

The IPCC has a strong presence at the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). IPCC will participate in several UNFCCC mandated events and will host a side event under the UNFCCC programme of side events. Together with the World Meteorological Organization and the MERI Foundation, IPCC will also host the “Science for Climate Action” pavilion in the Blue Zone for the duration of COP29.

COP29 runs from 11 to 22 November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Science for Climate Action” Pavilion

The “Science for Climate Action” pavilion will be located in the COP29 Blue Zone. The Pavilion will have about 40 events spread over the duration of the COP, eight from the IPCC.

IPCC´s events are designed to serve as a “toolbox” for the delegations and participants of the conference regarding IPCC’s work in the seventh assessment cycle. A detailed programme of IPCC event is available here
